Because it primarily consists of alkaline earth like silica, calcium, and magnesium as well as other elements, alkaline earth silicate (AES) fiber is also known as bio-soluble fiber or low-bio persistent fiber. It also has the ability to discharge smoothly even after being absorbed by the human body.
Vacuum-formed, stiff and self-supporting fiber insulation boards called "bio soluble ceramic fiber board" are created from a slurry that contains ceramic fibers and either organic or inorganic binders.
Product features:
Bio soluble Ceramic Fiber Board has low thermal conductivity, high strength and thermal stability at elevated temperatures, and they have the capability to withstand chemical attack. Exceptions include hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid, and strong alkalies. A small amount of combustible binder will burn out at approximately 300ºF in grades with organic binder. Additional hardness and strength can be achieved with post treatments.
