Lucheng® High temperature insulation blanket is made from pure mullite fibre only, white color, regular size, the service temperature is 1500-1700℃, widely used as lining insulation of high temperature industrial kilns and other thermal equipments.

High Temperature Insulation Blanket is made from mullite fibre, which has the Al2O3 72-75%, needled on both sides, and contains no binder or other added constituent. It can be used at continuous operating temperatures up to 1600°C, under oxidizing, neutral or slightly gas-rich conditions, retaining its original toughness, strength and soft, fibrous structure after extended use at this temperature.

High Temperature Insulation Blanket is more resistant to acid and alkaline solutions than conventional alumina silicate fibre blankets.

Mullite fiber is a polycrystalline structure fiber (with Al2O3 content between 72% -75%). The main crystal phase is mullite microcrystals, which are the only stable phase in the binary system of silicon oxide and aluminum oxide. Its activity is low and its recrystallization ability is poor. Therefore, mullite fiber has good high temperature resistance. It is used at temperatures of 1500-1700 ℃, but when the temperature is higher than 1500 ℃, its grain size will also grow, causing it to lose high-temperature mechanical properties. When the temperature reaches around 1830 ℃, it will quickly decompose into aluminum oxide and liquid phase.
